Silt curtain manufacturing and silt curtain installation
The manufacture and installation of silt curtains is our specialty. The silt curtain consists of a float, a riser and a curtain. The curtain is made of filter fabric and reinforcement fabric. The silt curtain is fixed in place using an anchor wire and bottom weights.
Silt curtains limit the spread of fines caused by dredging and quarry filling on the construction site and thus the turbidity of the water. They also limit the spread of other floating debris on the construction site. Turbidity of the water and the spread of fines can have an impact on aquatic plants, fish, spawning and the entire water system. Installing silt curtains limits the turbidity of the water. After the project is completed, we also take care of the dismantling and recycling of the silt curtains.
